Workspace-Level Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery for Eventstream

We are introducing workspace-level business continuity and disaster recovery for Eventstream in Microsoft Fabric Real-Time Intelligence, helping organizations maintain supported streaming operations when the primary Fabric region becomes unavailable. Eventstream participates in Fabric-managed workspace failover to a predetermined paired region, preserving the existing streaming topology and resuming supported data flows in the recovery region.With this capability, you can:- Prepare a geo-redundant workspace with secondary-region Eventstream infrastructure and replicated event data for supported scenarios.- Fail over the complete workspace to its paired region and continue using the recovered Eventstream topology without depending on the unavailable primary region.- Monitor replication health, synchronization status, and failover readiness to understand recovery risk and potential data loss.After failover, the recovered topology remains available for supported processing and monitoring, while topology changes are restricted until failback completes. This helps prevent configuration differences between regions and supports a controlled return to the primary region. Availability, recovery objectives, and supported sources and destinations may vary during preview and will be documented as coverage expands.
