Description

Fuzzy string matching enables you to compare strings based on similarity rather than relying only on exact matches. Using built-in functions, you can measure the difference or similarity between strings with algorithms such as edit distance and Jaro-Winkler.

This makes it easier to work with imperfect and inconsistent real-world data, simplifying scenarios such as data matching, cleansing, deduplication, and search where exact string comparisons may not be sufficient.
