Capacity Operation Events in Real-Time Hub (Public Preview)
Real-Time Intelligence · Public preview · Shipped
Description
Capacity Operation Events in Real-Time Hub provide Microsoft Fabric capacity administrators with near-real-time, operation-level telemetry for understanding exactly what is consuming capacity and contributing to performance pressure.- The event stream emits one event for each operation that consumes capacity units, rather than aggregating activity into a summary window.- Each event can include the operation's workspace, item, workload, identity, CU consumption, duration, status, throttling delay, start time, and smoothing-window attribution.- Administrators can identify high-cost operations, investigate throttled or failed workloads, and determine which workspaces and items are driving capacity utilization.- Events can power Activator alerts and automated responses, flow through Eventstream to downstream destinations, be retained in Eventhouse for historical analysis, and support custom monitoring and governance solutions.- Used with Capacity Overview Events, administrators can move from understanding what is happening to the capacity to identifying which operations are causing it.This capability is available in public preview. Customers can access it from Real-Time Hub under Fabric events, then explore Capacity operation events, create an eventstream, or configure an alert for a selected capacity.
