With this release, Fabric introduces associated Identity: a durable, user-selected execution identity that can be attached to an item through new UI and APIs, starting with Workspace Identity support and Schedule Run-as. You will be able to assciate workspace identity and other app-based identity types with items, schedules, and interative executions. This decouples execution from ownership so pipelines and schedules keep running through org churn and credential changes, reduces SPN and secret-management overhead, strengthens security by eliminating reliance on user tokens for background execution, and establishes a consistent identity model that workloads across Fabric leverage.","feature_name":"Associate an identity with Fabric items and schedules","last_modified":"2026-06-02","product_id":"c6da6b3b-ded6-ee11-9079-000d3a310f67","product_name":"Fabric Developer Experiences","release_date":"Q3 2026","release_item_id":"74c64750-0a4f-f111-bec7-000d3a376137","release_status":"Planned","release_type":"Public preview"}
